Brookings Fire Department (SD)

The Brookings Fire Department, South Dakota, is seeking a new Fire Chief. The Brookings Fire Department targets 49 members, including four career members and 45 dedicated and professional volunteers. The Department protects the City of Brookings, as well as 186 square miles in Brookings County and 27 square miles in Moody County. The Fire Department provides fire investigation, fire prevention and education, fire service training, fire suppression, inspection and pre-planning, plan review, rescue and recovery services, and more.

Salary: $106,221 – $143,711 The City also provides a generous benefits package. The City will also help our new Fire Chief transition into the role by providing relocation assistance and six (6) month housing assistance.

Fire Chief

Longview Fire Department (WA)

The City of Longview, who celebrated 100 years in 2023, is seeking a Fire Chief to lead the City’s Fire Department activities and operations and to protect the City in a customer-oriented and cost-effective manner. The LFD services an area of approximately 14.7 square miles comprised of urban/suburban development and responds to approximately 6,500 calls yearly out of two fire stations. LFD’s front-line service providers consist of 31 career Firefighter/EMTs, 15 Firefighter/Paramedics, 3 Battalion Chiefs, an Administrative Battalion Chief and a Fire Marshal. Each of three 24-hour shift platoons is led by a Battalion Chief. Primary Response Vehicles include 1 ladder truck, 2 engines, and 1 ambulance.

The Salary Range for this position is $121,896 – $164,580. Starting salary is dependent upon experience and education. The City also provides a generous benefit package.

Fire Chief

Kittitas Valley Fire & Rescue (WA)

Kittitas Valley Fire & Rescue (KVFR) located in Ellensburg, Washington, is seeking a new Fire Chief. KVFR is an all-hazards agency and provides fire suppression, rescue, BLS and ALS EMS response, hazardous material response, fire investigation, and interfacility transports service. KVFR services an approximately 278 square mile area that includes a mix of micro-urban, suburban, rural, and wild land. KVFR is a combination Department consisting of 43 career firefighters, approximately 75 volunteer firefighters, and 4 resident firefighters. The District has 2 fire stations that are staffed by career personnel twenty-four hours a day, as well as 9 volunteer stations.
