ESCI would like to announce that R. David Paulison, principal partner at Global Emergency Solutions and past FEMA Director, was appointed to the company’s board of directors.

Mr. Paulison served as Administrator of the United States Fire Administration from 2001-2005, a Senate confirmed Presidential appointee. Additional duties in 2003 and 2004 included service as the Director for Preparedness, FEMA. He also served on the transition team during the design of the Department of Homeland Security.

Chief Paulison retired as Fire Chief of Miami-Dade County in 2001 after 30 years in the fire service and nine years as Chief. During his tenure, Chief Paulison was responsible for the Office of Emergency Management (OEM) and the internationally experienced Urban Search and Rescue Team.

‘We are honored to have David join our Board. It is humbling to think of the vast opportunities that a past director of FEMA has on a large scale, yet his passion is giving back to emergency services through his focused efforts with specific companies. I know he will have a positive impact on where our company is going and on what services we ultimately deliver to our clients and their communities.  That is pretty exciting,’ said Mr. Snook.

‘I am pleased to join the ESCI board and work with this team,‘ Paulison said. ‘I have always been impressed with the leadership, brand, reputation, and the ESCI commitment to doing the right things for the right reasons. At this point in my career it is about giving back and making a difference, and that is exactly what I feel ESCI is about. I look forward to sharing my experiences and contributing to the future direction and growth of this company.’

In addition to Mr. Paulison, ESCI’s board of directors consists of Jeff Johnson, ESCI chairman; Jack Snook, ESCI President; Richard Carrizzo, Fire Chief Southern Platte Fire Protection District; and Bruce Moeller, PhD, Pinellas County Director of Public Safety Services

ESCI welcomes Mr. Paulison and looks forward to our exciting future together.
