Where Do We Go From Here
In June 1993, Fire Chief Jack Snook entered a hospital in Portland, Oregon, to undergo “routine surgery.” Five days later he became the “sickest patient” ever to receive a heart transplant and the only person at Oregon Health Sciences University in the past 27 years to survive the specific heart attack that resulted in a second chance at life.
Chief Snook’s near-death experience and his challenging road to recovery illustrate the importance of relationships, attitude, balance, and goal setting.
“Where Do We Go From Here?” talks about:
- Overcoming Adversity
- The Importance of a Positive Attitude
- Establishing a Purpose
- Goal Setting
- Relationships
- Balance
- Quality of Life Issues
- Communicating With Others
